Virginia City Stops Abortion Clinics From Being Near Churches and Schools

Last week, the Lynchburg City Council voted 4–2 to pass a new zoning ordinance that places commonsense limits on where abortion facilities can operate. The measure requires any abortion clinic to stay at least 1,000 feet away from schools, churches, and neighborhoods, and requires a special use permit before any facility can open. This ordinance will go a long way in helping Lynchburg become a Safe Zone for Life!

West Virginia is Fighting Mail-Order Abortion Drugs

West Virginia’s state senate voted last week to approve Senate Bill 173, which takes aim at out-of-state abortionists mailing the abortion drug mifepristone across state lines and violating West Virginia’s pro-life laws. The bill states, “The State of West Virginia has a compelling interest in protecting the health, safety, and welfare of its citizens and in ensuring that drugs distributed within this state are lawfully prescribed, dispensed, and regulated in accordance with the laws of this state.”
