Today a law goes into effect hiding from the public the fate of infants who survive abortion. Under the new version of Minnesota’s abortion reporting law, practitioners of abortion will no longer report when abortions result in live births and what measures are taken to care for such infants. The change comes as the legislature has also repealed a guarantee that born-alive infants receive appropriate lifesaving care.

Another heated parental rights battle exploded at a school board meeting at the Chino Valley Unified School District in California attended by hundreds of people on July 20. The source of the controversy was a policy requiring school staff to notify parents within writing within three days of a student asking to identify as a different gender, change their pronouns, or to use a different name as well as requesting to use a different bathroom.
