Court Shuts Down Every Abortion Clinic in Missouri

Pro-life advocates are celebrating a state Supreme Court ruling that “effectively shuts down abortion clinics” for the time being and exposes Planned Parenthood facilities for acting “more like a criminal enterprise than any kind of legitimate health care entity.” The Missouri Supreme Court overturned a lower court ruling that stopped the state from requiring abortion facilities to meet health and safety codes, assure the mother had not been coerced into an abortion, and for the facility to make adequate preparations in the event of a botched abortion.

Support for Same-Sex Marriage and Relationships Declines Among Conservatives

This June marks the tenth anniversary of the United States Supreme Court neutering and redefining marriage in the troubling Obergefell decision. Gallup is now reporting that support for both same-sex marriage and same-sex relationships has been declining of late for all U.S. adults and substantially among conservatives. Only 27% of Americans supported the idea of de-gendering marriage in 1996. That support rose to a remarkable 42% in 2004 and in 2016, the year following Obergefell, support climbed to 61% and has remained above that mark ever since, at 68% support today. However, support for gay marriage has declined from its high-water mark of 71% support among all American adults in 2022 and 2023. It will be interesting to see if this decline continues in the years to come.

New report: Planned Parenthood advertises birth control to minors as ‘gender-affirming care’

A new report revealed that Planned Parenthood is selling hormonal birth control as “gender-affirming care” to minor girls who wish to suppress their menstrual cycles without parental permission. The report, from the conservative watchdog group American Principles Project (APP), follows the release of Live Action’s “The Case For Defunding Planned Parenthood” report and Live Action’s bombshell undercover investigation into Planned Parenthood’s distribution of cross-sex hormones to minors. The APP report offers further evidence that Planned Parenthood is targeting gender-confused and vulnerable minors, not only with cross-sex hormones and gender ideology, but also with birth control.

The House of Representatives completed an overnight session on May 22 with a vote on the One Big Beautiful Bill Act. It passed by one very small margin—215-to-214.

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., immediately condemned it—and expressed anger that it would restrict federal funding of abortion. “A few hours ago, while most Americans were fast asleep, House Republicans rammed through their so-called Big, Beautiful Bill through the House of Representatives, in the dead of night, in the hopes that nobody would notice,” he said on the Senate floor.
