The Abortion Case That Could Undo Roe v. Wade.

In an interview with The Daily Signal, Mississippi Attorney General Lynn Fitch explains the upcoming Supreme Court case that could overturn Roe v. Wade:

“Mississippians are absolutely delighted that we’ve been able to move this case and to get it to the United States Supreme Court. Because remember, this actually goes back to states’ interests. So the elected officials, the governor that signed it into law, that’s the will of the people.”

Congress to vote on requiring women to register for the draft.

Conservative groups are asking activists to contact Congress and speak out against the legislation. “We celebrate the many critical roles women embrace in every stage of life,” Concerned Women for America said, “but we reject the baseless notion that women’s equality means sameness with men…Conscripting young women to fight on the front-lines of war ignores God-given distinctions between the sexes that have everything to do with military readiness in a wartime crisis.” Read more

What happens when an anti-family activist has a baby?

Michaeli has openly called for all governments, religions, and principalities everywhere to “cancel the very concept of marriage.” She has also berated the family as being a place of supreme danger for children saying: “The core family as we know it, unfortunately, it is the least safe place for children.” She has also opposed parental rights saying, “It is exactly those parental rights…the total custody that we have in this structure of marriage, which still gives men domination, complete domination over their children…[that] is a part of the ongoing hurt in children.”

In 2017 she suggested that biological connections are meaningless and unnecessary, and we should work to dismantle them in policy and in practice. Read more

What working families want.

It’s bad enough that Biden is trying to spend another $3.5 trillion as our economy is already overheating with rising inflation. But his plan not only ignores what working families really want, it also undermines families by making existing marriage penalties worse. Read more

Beijing Unleashes Sweeping Bid to Remold Society.

For most Chinese families, the education system is “the last chance to change their children’s fate” when “the Party has monopolized all resources in society,” she said.

To boost their academic performance, Chinese kids would now have to turn to in-home tutors, Richard Zhang (a pseudonym), a division chief for a city-level education bureau, told The Epoch Times. With the tutor pool slashed as a result of the new regulations, the cost of such services could become prohibitive, he said. Thus, ultimately, it may only be rich families who can give their children a competitive edge. Read more

Why Teens Are Growing Up Much More Slowly Today.

A “slow life strategy” is more common in times and places where families have fewer children and spend more time cultivating each child’s growth and development. This is a good description of our current culture in the U.S., when the average family has two children, kids can start playing organized sports as preschoolers and preparing for college can begin as early as elementary school. This isn’t a class phenomenon; I found in my analysis that the trend of growing up more slowly doesn’t discriminate between teens from less advantaged backgrounds and those from wealthier families. Read more

More Radical Than Roe: House Abortion Bill Would Repeal Existing Laws, Prohibit Future Pro-Life Laws.

In response to pro-life policy victories like the Texas Heartbeat Act and an upcoming Supreme Court case asking the justices to provide a constitutional course correction to America’s arbitrary and unworkable abortion jurisprudence, pro-abortion legislators in Congress are advancing a deceptively named piece of legislation called the Women’s Health Protection Act. The radical, far-reaching proposal would entrench unfettered access to abortion in federal law. Read more

Why has opposition to euthanasia crumbled?

Another Australian state, Queensland, legalised assisted dying last week. The new law has three serious flaws. First, health practitioners are permitted to initiate a discussion of “assisted dying” with patients. Second, doctors who have a conscientious objection to “assisted dying” are obliged to refer to a compliant doctor. And third, healthcare facilities must permit “assisted dying” on their premises, even if it violates their “institutional conscience”. Read more

Dating App Encourages Users to Add ‘I’m Pro-Choice’ Badge for Planned Parenthood Donation.

“The ‘I’m Pro-Choice’ profile badge will be accompanied by a Pro-Choice Stack which acts as a filter when you’re looking for dates; it will only be accessible to users with the ‘I’m Pro-Choice’ badge and will only feature other daters who’ve opted into it as well.”

OKCupid is not new to suggesting leftist views increase users likelihood of attracting partners. Back in 2009, when online dating was still pretty new on the scene, they published a blog post with a list of online dating tips, encouraging users to “consider becoming an atheist” to receive more responses on the platform. Read more

Texas Protecting Babies From Abortion is Nothing Like the Taliban Subjugating Women.

Abortion activists and leftist news commentators have been likening pro-life advocates to the radical Islamic group for weeks, especially after Texas was allowed to enforce its new heartbeat law, which bans abortions once an unborn baby’s heartbeat is detectable, about six weeks of pregnancy.

The problems with this comparison are many. One is a basic understanding about Islam and abortion. Read more

As Secularism in America Has Increased, Freedom Has Decreased.

Here’s something any honest person must acknowledge: As America has become more secular, it has become less free.

It seems to me indisputable that they are correlated. To deny this, one would have to argue that it is merely coincidental that free speech, the greatest of all freedoms, is more seriously threatened than at any time in American history, while a smaller-than-ever percentage of Americans believe in God or regularly attend church. Read more

How One Fifth-Grader Wouldn’t Let His School Stop Him From Expressing His Christian Faith.

Brian Hickman was in the fifth grade when he learned his first lesson about religious freedom – all because he wanted to dance to a Christian song at his school’s talent show.

Brian had spent weeks preparing for his Los Angeles elementary school’s talent show. But shortly before the show, school officials told his mom, Adriana, that they wouldn’t allow Brian to dance to the song he had chosen. The song mentioned Jesus too many times and school officials believed that this was “offensive.” Read more

UK Court Decides Kids Under 16 Can Take Puberty Blocking Drugs Without Court Approval.

The decision reverses last year’s ruling that children seeking gender reassignment aren’t mature enough to give informed consent to take puberty blocking medicine, The Associated Press reported. The decision said that doctors should seek court approval before prescribing the medication because the drugs were still experimental. Read more

Scot Govt’s gender self-ID plans out of step with public.

The Scottish Government recently confirmed its plans to press ahead with its controversial GRA reforms, despite widespread resistance.

Ohio mayor orders school board to resign or face criminal charges over ‘child pornography’ taught in schools.

The man listed one of the prompts students were asked to write about, including “explain a time when you wanted to orgasm but couldn’t.” He alleged that “students were told not to take the book home” so that their parents would not be aware of the material their children were exposed to at school. Read more
