UNICEF Endorses “Sexual Autonomy” for Kids With Approval of UN Member States.

UNICEF’s Executive Board has approved a strategic plan that endorses sexual autonomy for children and school-based access to abortion and contraception.

The plan added “sexual and reproductive health and rights” and “sexual orientation and gender identity” to the agency’s mandate for the first time. The Biden administration endorsed the new plan.

UNICEF already promoted the ability of adolescents to make autonomous decisions about their sexuality and the presence of sexuality education and sexual health services for children in schools. But this was the first time these had appeared in UNICEF’s internal strategic documents with the approval of UN member states.

The Irony: UN Women Says Word ‘Women’ Is Exclusionary.

U.N. Women, the United Nations organization responsible for furthering the cause of women all over the world, seems out to erase itself and any credibility it has as a women’s rights organization.

The issue is more pernicious than increasingly ridiculous semantics. The growing insistence that “womanhood,” “manhood,” and “nonbinary-hood” are up for grabs—genitals and chromosomes be damned—is a movement radical feminist Shulamith Firestone articulated and advocated for decades ago, as have her philosophical descendants. Read more

Heritage Scholars Condemn Biden Administration’s Use of Federal Law Enforcement to Intimidate Parents.

The Heritage Foundation’s top scholars on critical race theory spoke out Tuesday after U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland ordered federal authorities to assess vague, unspecified threats against public schools and school board members.

These actions came just five days after the National School Boards Association, a left-wing special interest group, sent President Joe Biden a hyperbolic letter demanding that he use the PATRIOT Act against critical parents attending the board meetings. Read more

The group that’s happiest in the pandemic may surprise you.

There is no question that parenting in the past 18 months has been hard. But the message many in the media have been sending about parenting in the pandemic gives the impression that most parents are miserable and have had it worse than the childless.

There is only one problem with this handwringing: It no longer fits the data. Read more

Biden admin ends Trump rule that blocked taxpayer dollars to abortion industry.

The Biden administration moved this week to rescind a Trump-era rule excluding the abortion industry from federal family planning funds.

Massachusetts advocates: Assisted suicide disproportionately threatens the poor, disabled, minorities.

“The desire for assisted suicide is by no means ‘a universal feeling,’ and the desire to hasten death is often one of a ‘privileged segment’ of society, ” explained Dr. Laura Petrillo.

“The vast majority of patients request [assisted suicide] to have absolute control over their moment of death,” she said, not because of pain or other factors. Conversely, people with a history of mistreatment by the medical system–the poor, the disabled, and people of color, “feel like their lives are being threatened by a law like this.” Read more

With a conversion therapy ban on the table, the threat of jail for Christians is real.

Panic and threats as a small fraction of British doctors dissent from LGBTQ+ orthodoxy.

For many people, the term “conversion therapy” evokes nasty scenarios from decades ago, before homosexual activity was legalised, including electric shock therapy and aversion therapy to change sexual orientation, or the subsequent efforts of some religious enthusiasts to simply “pray the gay away”.

What the average person doesn’t realise is that it now includes parents, pastors, teachers and possibly mental health professionals who recoil from the idea of giving drugs to 12-year-olds to stop them entering puberty because the children are unhappy with their sex. Read more
