BuzzFeed Should Stop Publishing Only Negative Takes On Motherhood.

Some responsibilities of parenthood are more challenging than others. I write this as a parent of small children who wakes up physically sore from holding and carrying my children. Yet very little of what we see elevated in popular culture focuses on the joy and satisfaction that nurturing children brings mothers also.

It seems like popular culture spends more time promoting the “wine mom” narrative that women need alcohol to get through mothering and less time honoring women for the work they put into mothering. Just because caregiving can be tough doesn’t mean it is not worth our time, shouldn’t be done, or is bad. No one would say that about other pursuits such as fitness, pursuing a challenging career, or taking on a scientific challenge. Read more

Australian Anglicans at loggerheads over same-sex marriage.

The Anglican Church in Australia recently voted on whether to affirm marriage as being only between a man and a woman. With votes now cast, the church appears to have turned an almighty corner. It has decided to reject a statement presented by the conservative Sydney diocese which adheres to Biblical teaching on marriage. What is surprising, however, is not what has been voted on, but rather how the results were distributed. Read more

Making Boys Into Men.

American boys and men are in a state of crisis. The notion that masculinity and traditional gender roles are “toxic” forces of oppression is a common refrain in our cultural commentary and political discourse. Men are dropping out of the labor force and dying deaths of despair. We live in a culture where legislation aimed to promote fatherhood is criticized and drag queens reading to children in public libraries are celebrated. Read more

Arizona education dept. encourages teens to chat with LGBT adults about sex, gender.

The Arizona Department of Education hosts a website that allows teenagers to talk with LGBTQ adults about gender and sexuality without their parents’ knowledge.

The education department, run by Democrat Superintendent of Public Instruction Kathy Hoffman, “promoted an online chat for LGBTQ kids that mixes minors with adults, intended for those ages 13-19,” Breitbart reported on Monday. “Facilitated in part by Planned Parenthood, it does not require parental approval to join and features discussions on sex and polyamorous relationships.” Read more

“Banging Beyond Binaries”.

In early July 2021, the School District of Philadelphia’s Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion sent invitations to the Philadelphia Trans Wellness Conference to teachers and staff on the SDP Connect mailing list, promoting the conference as a way to “learn more about the issues facing the trans community.”

The conference went far beyond the school district’s euphemism about “issues facing the trans community.” The event included sessions on topics such as “The Adolescent Pathway: Preparing Young People for Gender-Affirming Care,” “Bigger Dick Energy: Life After Masculinizing [Gender Reassignment Surgery],” “Prosthetics for Sex,” “The Ins and Outs of Masturbation Sleeves,” and “Trans Sex: Banging Beyond Binaries.” The conference attendees included educators, activists, adults, and adolescents. Read more

Although most Americans oppose allowing surgeons to perform sex-change operations on children and teenagers suffering from gender dysphoria and teaching young children about sexual orientation and gender identity in schools, many are afraid to speak about such hot-button issues due to fear of retribution. Read more

Medical expert debunks false claims of Planned Parenthood about abortion in El Salvador.

For Julia Regina de Cardenal, president of the Yes to Life Foundation in El Salvador, “it’s not surprising that a pro-abortion activist lies to try to convince you that she’s defending women when in reality she is promoting an industry that exploits pregnant women in dire straits that need support, not violence and death.”

The Salvadoran pro-life leader stressed that in reality “in El Salvador there’s not a single woman imprisoned for induced abortion, because women found guilty are sentenced to community service.”

“The women she says are supposedly imprisoned for ‘miscarriages’ and ‘obstetrical problems’ were actually convicted of aggravated homicide of their newborn babies,” de Cardenal said. Read more

Canada has some of the loosest guidelines/rules for Medical Assistance in Dying (MAID) in the world and perhaps articles like VICE’s have something to do with it.

Texas Church Evicted After Pastor Criticized LGBTQ Mural In City Council Meeting.

A new mural in the city of Georgetown, Texas, is generating controversy for its support of LGBTQ ideology. Members of one church who spoke out against public subsidies for sexual politics at a city council meeting believe their subsequent eviction from the Georgetown Palace Theatre was retaliation for their speech. Read more

Muslim scholars, bishops, rabbis and Hindu leaders meet in Saudi Arabian religious conference.

The Muslim World League (MWL) convened the first-ever “Forum on Common Values among Religious Followers” in Riyadh with support from the Vatican, evangelical church leaders, internationally recognized rabbis, and more. The forum, which featured panel discussions of international religious issues and offered opportunities to establish cross-cultural partnerships between faiths, produced an official communiqué outlining fundamental agreements endorsed by all faiths represented. Read more

Is Nancy Pelosi Establishing a Religion?

The First Amendment leads off with that clause, which says: “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion.”

The amendment goes on to say that Congress shall make no law “prohibiting the free exercise” of religion, “or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press, or the right of the people to freely assemble.”

So, if a group of public school football players freely assemble at the 50-yard line after a game and freely exercise their right to say a prayer, does that mean they have established a government religion?

After Kennedy ultimately declined to discontinue his postgame prayer, he was suspended by the school district. He sued on First Amendment grounds. Read more

“You-ology: A Puberty Guide for EVERY Body” is a book released by the American Academy of Pediatrics aiming “to talk about puberty in an inclusive way.” Read more

Trans narrative under fire in Sweden.

The Swedish national broadcaster SVT has produced a series of programs which are sceptical of transgender medicine. The latest, Transbarnen (The Trans Children), examines the case of “Leo”, a ten-year-old girl who decided that she was really a boy. It is an appalling tale of abysmal medical care – at one of the world best hospitals, the Karolinska. Read more
