Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you have likely seen the media talk about the upcoming oral arguments for the Dobbs vs Jackson Women’s Health Organization case that is before the Supreme Court.

What makes Dobbs vs Jackson such an important case? And for someone who is not really sure what is going on, how can you find out what the fervor is all about?

Marriage/Family

The 24-year-old mum with 22 children, and counting.

Family love begins at the beginning, in the loving embrace of a man and a woman, not in a laboratory, not in the womb of a woman hired to carry someone else’s child. And it grows when the mum and dad dote on each child.

The Ozturk family shows the perversity of commercial surrogacy. Because the children are made to order, the parents are free to experiment with their lives. Read more

More childless U.S. adults say they’ll likely never have kids, survey finds.

While reasons vary, the top response from those who don’t plan to ever be parents is “I just don’t want to.” That response was given by 56% of childless adults who say having kids in not likely. Other commonly named factors, in descending order, were medical reasons, financial reasons, not having a partner, age and the state of the world. Read more

Saving Men from the Men’s Rights Movement.

Paul Elam, creator of the website, A Voice for Men, explained while speaking at a conference that divorce “socializes women to be opportunistic parasites in the lives of men.” Interviewed by The Independent in 2015, Mike Buchanan, the British leader of the upstart, Justice for Men and Boys (And the Women Who Support Them) Party took aim squarely at feminism: “Men are stripped out of their families and become walking wallets because that suits the state. It’s a very well documented feminist objective of 40 years to destroy the nuclear family.” Read more

Parenting/Parental Rights

Moms slam Biden for tweet suggesting it’s better for them to work rather than raise their kids.

President Joe Biden sent out a policy comment via Twitter that reveals exactly how much he and Democrat politicians value the role that mothers play in caring for their children and family members in need: zero.

“Nearly 2 million women in our country have been locked out of the workforce because they have to care for a child or an elderly relative at home,” he said. Read more

Republicans Are Going To Help Democrats Draft Your Daughters Unless You Raise Cain.

There are three basic reasons all elected officials should oppose drafting women: It is bad for military readiness, it is bad for women and families, and it is opposed by the American people.

Some things are forever true, but in these culturally and politically tumultuous times, the country needs leaders to defend what used to be obvious — like the natural and good differences between men and women. Read more

“Protecting children is a duty that must involve all of us without distinction”.

We developed four messages: 1. “I don’t go off with a stranger” 2. “I know how to react when I stray from my mom/dad”. 3. “Basic road safety”. And 4. “Prevention of child sexual abuse”. We didn’t start with the latter, but parents asked for it. There was no programme like this one and I wish other partners would develop it elsewhere in the same way: non-profit and without ideological interests. Read more

Sanctity of Life

High Court Hears Arguments in Biggest Abortion Case Since Roe. Here Are Key Takeaways.

Justice Stephen Breyer argued that the court should be “more unwilling” to overrule what he called “watershed” precedents, so that the public does not think the justices are simply responding to political pressure.

He might have been implicitly conceding that Roe and Casey could not survive application of the court’s traditional analysis.

Justice Brett Kavanaugh explained that some of the court’s most significant decisions had themselves overruled precedents, citing an extensive list of decisions that included Miranda v. Arizona, Lawrence v. Texas, and Obergefell v. Hodges. Read more

Poland Faces Increased Pressure from a European Union Without Restraints.

Poland is one of a few Western nations that has taken a stand in defense of human life from conception, and the traditional family. However, Poland increasingly faces opposition from the European Union that has criticized Poland in its resolutions and even withheld pandemic relief funds for political reasons. Read more

The twisted logic of the culture of death: shots mandated for assisted suicide.

While the world is already drowning in pandemic related bills, legislations, and mandates which make absolutely no sense at all, a piece of news from Germany has become one of the most ridiculous and tragic of the last 22 months.

It’s this: for people to be euthanised, they must show proof of having their injections. Read more

Religion

Biden revokes religious exemption for foster care agencies that don’t assist gay couples.

On November 18, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) announced they have revoked from federally funded foster care agencies religious protections put in place by the Trump administration in 2017. Most notably, they removed the blanket protection that foster care agencies can refuse the placement of children to same-sex couples as it would be a grievous violation of their religious beliefs. Read more

How should Christians respond to the challenge of wokeness?

In your society and mine, the “space” that the Church and believing Christians are permitted to occupy is shrinking. Church institutions and Christian-owned businesses are increasingly challenged and harassed. The same is true for Christians working in education, health care, government, and other sectors. Holding certain Christian beliefs is said to be a threat to the freedoms, and even to the safety, of other groups in our societies. Read more

Sexuality

New Olympic Committee Rules Essentially End Women’s Sports.

The new rules are couched in ideas of anti-discrimination, but they are only about not discriminating against gender-nonconforming biological males who identify as transgender and use female pronouns, and in so doing, they directly discriminate against women. Read more

90 Countries Back “Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity” at the United Nations.

For over two decades, countries that promote the LGBT agenda have avoided putting the terms “sexual orientation and gender identity” in UN resolutions for fear that traditional countries would vote against them. This is because diplomats always strive for resolutions to be adopted unanimously.

Now, the long-standing stalemate in UN negotiations broke in favor of the LGBT agenda, opening the door for LGBT issues in many other UN resolutions. Read more
