Abortion is ‘devastating to black babies’, says history-making US politician

The US abortion industry “preys” on vulnerable black women, Oklahoma’s first African-American Speaker of the House has stated.

The former speaker Tahrohon Wayne Shannon warned that the “officially sanctioned regime of murder is especially effective in snuffing out the lives of Black and Brown babies”.

In the US, more than one-in-three (33.6 per cent) abortions affect unborn black children although only twelve per cent of the total population is black.

‘Devastating’

Shannon lamented: “Every single year since 1973, over 400,000 Black babies have been exterminated by the abortion industry. That’s more than 19 million boys and girls.”

He called it a “multi-billion-dollar industry, aimed at preying on vulnerable young women – especially young Black women”.

The politician quoted the US Supreme Court’s draft ruling which impacts Roe v. Wade, where Justice Samuel Alito stated that some pro-abortionists “have been motivated by a desire to suppress the size of the African American population”.

Every single year since 1973, over 400,000 Black babies have been exterminated by the abortion industry.

Shannon commented: “The Supreme Court may be on the verge of overturning a decision that has been devastating to Black babies. I welcome that day.”

Racist

Last year, abortion giant Planned Parenthood said it would distance itself from its founder, Margaret Sanger, after acknowledging her eugenicist and racist actions.

Writing in The New York Times, its president and CEO, Alexis McGill Johnson, said the organisation “must reckon” with Sanger’s activities.

Sanger was a leading advocate of the eugenics movement and promoted sterilisation of people she deemed to have undesirable traits or economic circumstances.
